Salisbury Caregiver Conference 2020

TenderHearted Home Care and Carolina Caring were the presenting sponsors for the 2020 Salisbury Caregiver

Conference held at the beautiful Lewis Hall at Salisbury First Presbyterian Church on February 27^th. There were approximately 80 attendees including family caregivers and healthcare professionals. There were other supporting sponsors representing different healthcare industries available to provide information and support. These included: The Laurels of Salisbury, Accelerate Therapy and Performance, Project C.A.R.E., PACE of Lexington, Travis Alligood of Therapeutic Massage, Clear Captions, Penrod Medical Equipment, Cannon Pharmacy, First Presbyterian Church of Salisbury, and Advanced Home Care.

The presentations included information on What Makes Palliative Care Different, Dealing with Compassion Fatigue and Burnout, How to Pet a Porcupine: Don’t get Stuck with Stress, and Behaviors of Dementia.

The professionals in attendance received 4 free CEU credits for attending including therapy credits as well as nursing credits.

The event was a true success and many are looking forward to future conferences.
